Book #17: Flat Broke With Two Goats

The moral of this book?  Some people just never get their acts together.  Yeah, I kinda hated this author.  Hated is probably too strong of a word.  But she and I will never be friends.  I probably wouldn’t even have wanted to hear her tell her story at a party.  It would have just irritated me.

I don’t want to expend a lot of effort on this review because I’ve got another twenty cued up to review, but let’s just say that if you ever end up owing the government back taxes in obscene amounts, become emotionally unfaithful to your spouse, refuse to face reality, then decide to write a book about what you’ve learned (not much, apparently), don’t bother sending me a copy to review.  I promise I will have no patience for it.

I did give it three stars, however, because I dearly love North Carolina and it made me nostalgic, and because she had some great stories revolving around her goats and the property she lived on.  That bumped it up from two stars.

Goodreads Rating: 3 stars, but barely
